Adam Tobias, MD

Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine

Adam Z. Tobias, MD, MPH, FACEP, Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, is a practicing emergency physician with over 15 years of experience educating medical students, residents, and paramedics.  He is board-certified in both emergency medicine and emergency medical services, and serves as the Associate Program Director of the emergency medicine residency at UPMC.  He is the recipient of numerous teaching awards and serves as course director for several medical school courses, where he specializes in simulation training.  He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan and received his MD and MPH from the University of Pittsburgh, where he also completed residency and fellowship training.  In addition to being an educator and a clinician, he provides medical command to ground and aeromedical EMS services and for commercial airlines dealing with in-flight medical emergencies.  He also serves as an emergency physician for the National Football League and the National Hockey League.
