Gerhardt Konig, MD
Gerhardt Konig, MD, Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Bioengineering, UPMC, completed his undergraduate studies in Bioengineering at the University of California at San Diego, and completed medical school and residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC. He is an attending anesthesiologist at UPMC and is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh.
Konig’s current research, clinical, and academic interests include remote monitoring systems and clinical dashboards, clinical education, autonomous control of fluid and blood product administration, and perioperative sensors, devices, technology, and innovation.
He is a member of several professional societies and organizations focused on anesthesiology and technology and is a reviewer for multiple peer-reviewed publications.
