Vikraanth (Vik) Sinha
Vikraanth (Vik) Sinha loves bridging the gap between cutting-edge AI theory and meaningful real-world impact. Currently a Data Science senior at the University of Pittsburgh (with minors in Computer Science and Music), Vik has already built a diverse research portfolio. He previously worked at Human Engineering Research Labs (HERL) to apply vision language models to embodied AI. The project involved using GPT-4 to communicate with a robotic arm to assist users with upper limb impairments in performing activities of daily living. He also conducted independent research at CMU’s Tepper School of Business, using advanced statistical analysis to evaluate online education program metrics—insights he looks forward to applying at Lumus. Additionally, Vik expanded his global technical perspective by completing an intensive summer program in AI and Machine Learning at the University of Oxford, England.
Outside of work, he is an avid soccer fan and explores music as both a listener and a musician.
